From October 19th to 25th, 2026, DoubleTree by Hilton Rome Monti presents The Spirit of Matter, a solo exhibition by Italian artist Giancarlo Carnevale. Through an evocative exploration of nature, matter, and spirituality, Carnevale transforms natural elements into powerful expressions of inner energy, revealing the profound connection between the physical world and the human spirit.

From the intricate textures of stones, roots, and leaves to vibrant abstract compositions, his works invite viewers to look beyond visible reality and discover the hidden essence of nature. About the Artist

Giancarlo Carnevale is an Italian contemporary artist, born in Frascati in 1965, whose artistic research explores the relationship between nature, matter, and inner consciousness. His passion for drawing emerged at an early age, gradually evolving into a distinctive artistic language shaped by experimentation and personal introspection.

Beginning with oil painting in 2002, Carnevale initially focused on landscapes before exploring repetition, intricate details, and abstract compositions. A defining moment came in 2018, when his encounter with painter Luigi Bettini inspired him to embrace acrylic painting and deepen his exploration of abstraction.

Over time, his artistic practice evolved into a personal interpretation of reality, combining different materials, oil paints, and acrylics to create works that transcend traditional representation. Guided by intuition and an increasingly profound connection with his inner world, Carnevale transforms natural forms, colors, and textures into expressions of spiritual energy.

His artistic language brings together sensitivity, contemplation, and expressive freedom, inviting viewers to discover the extraordinary within the ordinary and reflect on the invisible connections that unite humanity and nature.
